CHALLENGE

Improve on an existing voice picking solution that required extensive infrastructure and support and inconsistent effectiveness for operators. The incumbent voice solution was particularly frustrating to users at sites where Wi Fi signal was poor – and operators in noisy environments suffered from VoIP Voice Recognition issues.

SOLUTION

Adopt a system with a simpler architecture that talks directly to SAP without the need for middleware to reduce the support burden.

Use a voice recognition system that leverages a neural network designed specifically for noisy warehouse environments.

RESULTS

Successfully deployed in 92 locations in 12 months with each site experienced increased efficiency of up to 7% productivity improvement.

“On average, many sites have seen approximately a 6% to 7% productivity improvement over our previous voice solution,” reported Jordan. In operations with thousands of users and thousands of hours this can provide very significant savings.”
